      The Anglican parish church of St. Peter's in Ashton-under-Lyne is in the Diocese of Manchester. The building was built in 1824 in neo-Gothic style of cut stone and covered shyfernymі roofs.

      In the western part of the building was built wide square tower with a height of 36 meters kontrforsamі. It was in 1840, the clock is set to the drive shaft. At the top level of the tower is the bell tower with two open pointed arches, which is eight bells of different shapes and sizes. Around the perimeter of the church built small towers with spiers. High arched windows with a fine openwork carving. On the front side of the building there is a large round window decorated vіtrazhom. 

      Inside the church hall passes wide nave, in each compartment which is light window. Massive cast-iron columns painted in stone and decorated with pilasters. Over white marble altar are small stained-glass windows depicting the twelve apostles. Organ niche to the left of the altar. Church of St. Peter is a unique architectural monument and is very popular among tourists.
