The Anglican parish church of St. Leonard in Middleton is one of the oldest in England. Information about it date back to 1412 year.

On the south side of the building erected wide square tower, which is a wooden bell tower, built in 1667. Under it installed mechanical watches with manual winding, which are still in operation. In 1896 the dilapidated building was renovated and completely restored, with the result that there were elements of the Gothic style. The building has a complex structure with massive arched cast-iron columns.

In the center of the church hall is a wooden altar decorated with fine carving, which hung around the old paintings of saints. The left of the altar is the body established in 1776.

The Church of St. Leonard - a unique architectural monument, which is very popular among tourists. In August 2012 pompously celebrated its six hundredth.
