      Memorial Barr Beacon is set on a hill in the West Midlands in the vicinity of Birmingham. This war memorial built in memory of those killed in the First World War. From the top of the hill, where a memorial was erected, panoramic views of the Cathedral, and the airport town centre.

      Memorial Barr Beacon initially belonged to the family of Barry Scott, but after the death of Lady Mildred Scott in 1909 the property was sold at auction. In 1918, on this place opened a public park. During the war, stood on the hill lighthouse that signaled the coming attacks.

      Recently, copper domed roof of the memorial has been repeatedly damaged. Now there is a comprehensive restoration, after the historic site which again will remind visitors of the dead inhabitants.
